< Me & BZBeats. Denny's Downtown LA.
I am tired of these simple back and forth/plain so called " breaks ", that a lot of DJs are spinning nowadays. I have been to countless jams throughout the country and, every jam sounds exactly the same. No one flips the break, they play the whole damn song. Wow, seriously, WOW kid. It's disappointing when you have skilled DJs (a.k.a. turntablist), who cop all of the Breaks & Beats complations (volumes one through a billion) and end up claiming they are a real breaks DJ. Funny stuff. I'm not saying that being a turntablist is wack. It's an artform and, anyone who doesn't see that is a fool. I'm just saying, don't tell someone you have nasty footwork and not even know what a hook and sling is ... save your breath kid.
The Hype Mix is a compilation of three separate mixes I have done. It's snippets of other mixes that I WILL be posting soon. At the end I threw in a sneak preview of my James Brown Dedication session ... don't worry, that will be posted soon as well. Below are two links, one for my mix and one for BZB's. Please check them out. Shit, they are FREE!!! SUCKA.
I will try to update this weekly if times persists. Get at me. Peace.
